Two birds sit quite still on Aptos pier, with only their heads moving during the long exposure. At the end, the remains of a concrete-hulled ship are all that remains of what was once a local nightspot.
An oak tree-trunk sits beached above the water line, while out over the Pacific the winter sun makes the clouds glow with light.
Aptos Creek finally makes it to the Pacific ocean and out towards the distant horizon. Clearing skies from a passing storm front allows the light to dance over the water.
